Biography:	Anthony Slack has 15 years of experience in the electronic displays industry and has a BEng(hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and an MPhil in Applied Technology researching electronic displays. He has recently returned from eight years in S.E. Asia, where, amongst other things, he was responsible for regional sales and product development and ran advanced Platform development for Philips Mobile Display Systems. His current position is head of the Technical Marketing group.
Presentation:	Mobile Display Applications and Emerging Technology
Abstract:	This presentation will look at the capabilities of OLED technology and its current status, including a brief review of the two main competing technologies: Small-Molecule OLED and Polymer OLED. In particular it will review the prospects for OLED technologies within applications for mobile displays and compare their competitiveness against incumbent LCD technologies. In addition it will look at emerging opportunities for alternative technology, such as electronic ink.
