Biography: Polgar is a European native from Hungary who has worked for, and with, Europeans throughout his career. He has spoken at a variety of European semi-conductor and business meetings.
His prior positions include VP-GM of Etec Systems (a unit of Applied Materials), VP-GM of Air Liquide Electronics (Paris), President of Bertram Laboratories (owned by Chemetall GmbH of Frankfurt) and VP-Marketing & Sales of Emcore Corporation.
He earned an MBA (University of Connecticut), a PhD in Physics (Carnegie-Mellon University) and a BS in physics (University of Michigan). He did his post-doctoral research at the Technical University of Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
