Biography:	Dan Lister is responsible for developing and implementing Flextronics' world-wide sourcing, supplier management and procurement strategies for LCDs, memory and storage. In this role, Dan is involved with a broad range of LCD applications, including cell phones, PDAs, industrial, medical, automotive, consumer appliances, Web devices and flat-panel monitors. Dan has over 10 years of industry-related experience, including world-wide procurement responsibility for the sourcing and management of notebook LCDs at Dell and Compaq.
Presentation:	Can PDAs be manufactured outside Asia?
Abstract:	China is emerging as the low cost manufacturing center and OEMs continue to move their electronics production to this region in an effort to reduce supply chain costs. Is this movement resulting in reduced supply chain costs or can PDAs be manufactured outside of Asia at parity? This presentation reveals the results of several months of supply chain modeling to determine the best global manufacturing and distribution strategy for PDAs.
