Biography:

Norbert Funk joined NEC-Mitsubishi Electronic Display Europe GmbH, the European Headquarter Organisation of
NEC-Mitsubishi Electric Visual Systems Corporation, Japan, in July 2000.
He is responsible for Product Marketing of and New Product Planning for display products, which include CRT and LCD monitors for the desktop,
as well as large information displays within the European sales territories.
After Norbert studied electrotechnics at the Technische Universitaet Munich, Germany, he obtained more than 20 years of computer industry
experience in sales and marketing positions for Electronic 2000, Fujitsu Deutschland and NEC Deutschland.
Publications in the German trade press include articles on computer connectivity and computer security, as well as on hard disk drives, CRT
and LCD monitors.

Abstract:
|
The presentation will cover details of the history and development of large displays, as well as future technological developments, technologies
and screen sizes. The target markets for large displays in Europe will be an essential part of the presentation, divided into the public and
corporate display market and the consumer and business display market. A further aspect will give a closer look at different large display
technologies, such as LCDs and plasmas, and show the various application fields for the different target groups as for static and moving pictures.
